THE TIME IS NOW!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend. The week that users in a celebration and holiday that stands out is here! Yes Christmas is on Sunday!
Kids are on break from school. Tertiary institution students are back home with their parents, while some are trying to tidy up their registration. NYSC Corp members posted far from their states are either on their way back home or preparing to leave their place of primary assignment. Teachers and lecturers are done marking scripts, Even Amarisa my daughter's report card is ready! lol, while business men and women are preparing to close shop for the year. People are rushing to do their last minute purchase for the Christmas.
The Christmas season is beginning to make its elegant entry as the cold harmattan breeze greets us. In short Christmas is in the air...
While all this is going on,  permit me to ask what have you been up to?
Are you going to allow the world around you to change while you remain stagnant?
Why not let this season of Christmas be your time of Change?
Let this be the time for sober reflection!
It's YOUR season!
If you have been waiting to break free and release your greatest self. Let this be your time.
Enough of the same old rut!
Enough of the worries, insecurities, and doubt!
Enough of the regret!
Enough of letting undeserving people dictate your moods!
Enough of giving others power over you!
Enough of feeling empty and unfulfilled!
Enough of letting days, weeks, months, and years pass without truly embracing all their blessings!
Enough is enough!
Change is in the air. This change reminds us that we are made and beautifully sculpted by the same power that is orchestrating this transition. Let this be the season you embrace and align yourself with this change.
Look around you. Everything is changing. Everything on this earth is in a continuous state of evolving, refining, improving, adapting, enhancing... changing. You were not put on this earth to remain stagnant.
It's your season.
Don't just give up by doing nothing, for some of us this season will usher in that great transition of success, joy, financial rest etc. Don't just sit down and do nothing.
Instead, make this the time you throw away old habits that have hindered your happiness and success and finally allow your greatest self to flourish.
The time has come. YOUR time is now.
It's your season.
And remember, I'm here cheering you on. God bless your hustle this week!

DON'T YOU DARE!!!

I have always had this mindset that the week to Christmas is usually when most deals are concluded, and decisions and payments are made. To me, I believe that is when most people 'close shop' for the year!!!
That is when I advice most people to intensify their efforts and push harder. Don't get me wrong, I have knocked off deals on the 31st of December!!! Yes, I had thought all hope was lost for me to sign out for the year with something tangible, it looked like all hope was lost, but God came through!!! So I am sure it won't hurt if I just jerk up your moral this Sunday Morning, would it?
Yeah, the Bible says time and chance happens to us all, but I also say and believe if you don't get your butt up and do something, then you might end as a spectator while people like me make something meaningful out of our lives.
So I say, don't you dare, don't you ever dare or even think about quitting you're in it this far. Just keep your head up and keep on pushing, cos I Trust and believe you'll make it.
Do you know that most times it's when you think that you're down and out and you tell yourself that you can't go any farther, that is when something is about to happen. That is when I suggest you get your butt up, dust yourself and look at the mirror and say, "Get up, get up, don't quit, for I am better than this"
So don't you dare quit, Just keep your head up, and keep on pushing, cos when they say it's over, you say, "Never" and then you must keep on going. Because it's that last mile that you go, when you think you can't go any farther, that is when your push and resilience will make all the difference in your life.
So don't you dare, Don't you dare even think about giving up, I know you have so much more to give
Don't you dare, Don't you dare!!!

CHOOSE YOUR FRIENDS...

How do you choose your friends, your pals, or even your partner? What criteria do you consider when selecting those who would become your friends ? Do they show regard and esteem for you? Do they show a concern for others? Do they show respect for life?

Each time we choose a friend, pal, or associate, we choose a part of our destiny. Bad associations corrupt good morals and destroy good personal conduct. Don't let the wrong people turn you into the wrong person. Don't allow bad associations to waste your goodness and love for life. Don't follow those who would lead you to unhappy hope.

For so many people, their life predicaments are as a result of the kind of friends they have kept and still have. Let me share this personal experience with you for the benefit of this topic. I remember during my teenage days, I had this friend (let's call him Dave) who smokes. Way back then he was the coolest kid on the block and got all the attention from most of the youngsters especially the girls, lol, yes the girls!!! Dave was seen as a mature "Guy" while I played the role of his sidekick. I am sure some of you can relate to my situation. Long story short, I found myself smoking all in a bid to become cool and loved by other kids. After so many years, it took the Grace of God for me to quit smoking after so many attempts and new year resolutions. All because of my association with Dave!!! Thank God I quit and my lungs are still in good shape, after several checkups with the Doctor, lol.
What am I trying to say here, life is too meaningful to allow bad associates to waste your life. Select as your playmates, your pals, your friends, and associates those who will support your growth in a positive manner. Associate with those who show honesty, integrity, good character, and concern for their fellow man and in all their dealings. Share your life with those who have goals, ambitions and want to better themselves, their environment, their community, and this world.
Choosing your friendships is a lifetime effort. So discover who you can trust. Discover who you can rely on when difficulty arises. Discover who supports your thoughts and deeds. Know who you feel comfortable with. And, most of all discover and develop the association of those who want to share God with you and the world.

It is time to sieve out those you don't need anymore, and do so with no apology, why? Because it is your life we are talking about here. Don't waste it!!! And permit me to boldly tell you today that you have found a good friend in me, that is if you find me worthy of being one.

TGIF, do have a blessed day and a great weekend, cheers.

A LIFE OF INTEGRITY...

Someday whether we are ready or not, everything will come to an end. There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours, or days. All the things we collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else.
Our wealth, fame and temporal power will shrink to irrelevance.
It will not matter what we owned or what we were owed. Our grudges, resentments, frustrations and jealousies will finally disappear. Also, our hopes, ambitions, plans and to-do lists will expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
It won't matter where we are from or the color of our skin, it won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant. Even your gender will be irrelevant.
So the question this morning is, what will matter?
How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built, not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is about what you learned as well as what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many felt good when they were around you and how you served them. What will matter is not your memories, but the memories that live in those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice. Choose to live a life that matters.
Shalom.
